Light, bare and lovely, this trio creates a beautiful rendition of Wilco’s “If I Ever Was a Child”. Their vocals are soft and serene as they are up against the fireside sounds of the guitars and the jazzy piano riffs. Their music is the perfect conclusion to a summer season as we welcome fall. I overall loved this slowed down version of this classic track and the emphasis of all of the players' parts in the piece. They skillfully lull you to dream of better days; simply living in blissful nostalgia.

I was very excited to meet Andres Owens, also known as andreas owens. This multi-hyphenate is a man of beautiful words and well-constructed productions, crafting mixed-media pieces that offer small doses of magic in music form. You may also know this LA-based producer as the lead singer of The Millennial Club, an electronic-pop band with a vibe very fitting for the times.

Originating from the suburbs of Quebec, the French-Canadian pair are the epitome of melancholy romanticism. Their sound is ethereal and their vocal control is unsurmountable. They’ve dabbled in both electro-pop and indie music, and after moving to Montreal for school, where they initially met, and then stayed after graduating to pursue their musical careers, they found a space in the industry as emerging indie artists. They had recently participated in the 25th edition of the music contest Les Francouvertes, which gave them well-deserved recognition in the Montreal music landscape.

Mia Giovina is a dreamer. That’s what she told me, and after having her debut single “Sirens” on repeat for what seems to be an infinite number of times over the span of 3 weeks since I last spoke with her, I can actually feel the dream she’s going after. 

This is Abir Hashem, or abir.mov on Instagram, and he is a creative. Yes, the word “creative” is a buzz-word these days, but a title that is very true to the core of the work he does every day and the world he wants to continue to pursue. I had the chance to speak with this emerging talent from Canada, and we had a really fun conversation that was almost a full hour, discussing life, creativity, passion, and goals. I’m excited to share what I learned from this young artist and hope that you’ll also be inspired by his energy.

Rayvon Owen serenades and swoons in his new single “Do It Again”.With memorable lyrics and sweet intonations, this singer/songwriter gives you the truth and nothing but the truth. His narratives are real which makes it easy to relate to. It’s also why he has gained such an organic following online.

We are excited to introduce you to LA's Alex Shera, who is known as a pop songwriter turned solo artist. He recently released his debut single & music video "Fire" which you can check out above. What I love is that it’s very much in the nostalgic-pop lane, similar to artists like Troye Sivan, LANY, and Wrabel. In tumultuous times like this, the track hits harder, with the feeling of the world being set on fire and just needing someone to pull you out, but still having the empathy to pull them out of their own fire. Shera from San Diego to LA at a17 to pursue his dreams of songwriting. You can even hear it in his lyrics here, but the music the young artist puts out is for the believers who romantically followed a dream and feel the pain throughout the journey. 

Whimsical, thoughtful, and fresh. That’s what Gonzo, a rapper and producer from Washington D.C. with an extremely exciting, eclectic perspective, offers in his music. He first stepped into the scene when he released his solo EP 19 Yearsback in 2018. Since then, the artist has continued to release a multitude of singles and another EP with his both his friend and a fellow rapper Beez, titled None the Wiser. Soon after this release did the two realize their synergy with over 115,000 streams on their track Minute Steak.

Today, we get to introduce another amazingly close friend, and we are very excited to share our interview with her. Radha is a young, emerging artist from Massachusetts who is certainly making, small impactful moves left and right with her R&B music that whispers to the soul and takes you on a winding trip of melodies, harmonies, and reverbs.

Introducing our latest emerging artist highlight, zleephouse. We were lucky enough to have him earlier this year as one of our performers in the isolated sounds Digital Music Festival, and now we get to share with you all the announcement of his release “thru the night” (with Jconn), which comes out this Friday, December 4th.

Here is a divergence from our usual programming of music and songwriting; however, not too far off. Today, I have the pleasure of sharing an interview I had with an old friend whom I’ve known for a while now, more specifically since our middle school & high school days. Evan “Van Thomas” Cummings is someone I always knew to have a beautiful grasp of the English language. I won’t deny that it did surprise me though when he would read aloud some of his assignments to the class, and I would hear such raw and honest emotion, intertwined in such well-constructed, eloquent structures of poetry, but he did it every time. He had an undeniable knack for it.

We’ve been in a constant state of flux for more than half a year now. The world changed so much in such a short period of time, no one was prepared. It’s those moments that make us so thankful for music to get us through the ever evolving surroundings—it’s the thing that keeps us grounded. Ross Newhouse is an emerging artist whom reached out to me and I was pleasantly surprised to hear his music, and he was pleasantly surprised to find out I had a music blog.

You should probably be allowed to hate me for saying the over-used word “vibe”, but in this case, please spare me because this track really is one. LA native singer, songwriter, and producer BRIDGE recently released his new single “Body”, and to accompany the track came a badass, female protagonist music video directed by Ganna Bogdan.
